Positive: Great location, clean and tidy cottage. Well appointed facilities. Negative: Would have given it 10/10 but for 2 things: 1) the seating outside was damaged so there was no where to sit out and 2) the TV was on the small side. Otherwise excellent!

Quirky and full of character. Positive: The cottage was in a great location and had a lot of character with its wonky floors, very low beams in places, huge fire place and tiny bath tub. All very fitting for the age of the place and gave it a lot of quirky charm. Cottage was clean and tidy enough, a few cobwebs but it’s not lived in full time, so to be expected. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need to cook a meal if you wanted to. Was also good to see some plastic cups and bowls for kids. Thing I loved most is that it felt homely and wasn’t pristine. It looked like a 250 year old cottage that’s been lived in and loved. It was child friendly. Parking was easily accessible and just down from the cottage. Made a great base for exploring the north of Cornwall. Negative: The “natural” alarm clock at sunrise (5am onwards) wasn’t fun. There are birds nesting in the roof above the main bedroom and either crows or seagulls because the babies were screechy and noisy from the crack of dawn. Also a very unpleasant smell in the main bedroom when we arrived which took a few days of open windows to clear. Reminiscent of the old fish down the back of the radiator prank kind of smell. Suspecting perhaps one of the birds in the loft is an ex bird? Property could probably do with some air fresheners, a new fridge as it didn’t get particularly cold (nobody likes a warm beer/milk), and the beds could do with some mattress toppers as they are rock hard and some new pillows as the current ones are very flat. So flat we had to buy emergency pillows in Asda.

Phenomenal cottage!

Perfect mix of peace, cleanliness, amenities and local information! Terrific stay with EVERYTHING you need including a washer and heated airer to dry your clothes. Storage heaters worked great and the wood stove was cozy and worked great. The shower had good pressure for an on-demand system and there's LOTS of storage for your stuff. Only down side was how hard all the beds were - my husband was like Goldilocks searching for the best bed on the first night! But this was not a hindrance to our wonderful stay! Thank you for this magical getaway!!

Lovely homely cottage. Exceptionally well equipment, kid’s toys, books, dvds, games, all the kitchen utensils you needed Positive: Well equipped for a whole family. Great location Negative: It could do with a little tlc and a good clean. It was a shame to see all the white paint splashed on the black beams, and a new mattress is required in the main bedroom as the springs were a little uncomfortable.

Positive: Lovely location, just a short walk to Tintagel, pubs, restaurants etc. The cottage is a pretty 250 year old building. Parking is close by. Negative: House wasn't very clean. The cooking trays, pyrex dishes etc had seen better days.
