Praxis Trebarwith Strand

The view from Praxis never fails to amaze, the ever changing sea is mesmerising. However keep looking out to sea because unfortunately the accommodation is definitely not the draw. The furnishings are now extremely poor with worn out, torn covers on the chairs and the carpets are badly stained. There must be about 8/9 mats (why?) that are so dirty and stained on top of the carpet that is stained! In the bathroom the rubber sink plug has been broken from the chain for about 3 years and is really dirty, not an expensive repair so why leave it? The fridge is also a problem as when full, water leeks on the floor The patio area is never cleaned which prompted us to buy a brush and clean it ourselves. We were fortunate enough to have really good weather and hot nights, but couldn’t open the windows. Praxis relies on the 5* view and returning visitors. Each year we hope to see some internal improvement and change and each year we see a decline. Such a shame!

The location of the property is worth 5 stars, but the property itself could do with some improvemnts e.g. new rugs/carpets, chairs and general maintenace i.e. balcony hand rail . We really enjoy our time at the apartment, but feel the owners are relying too heavily on the location for repeat busisness. After 3 consecutive visits, we will looking for a similar alternative property for next year.

Memorable stay Positive: Fantastic location made it for us

It was hard to leave the window and terrace overlooking the drama of the ocean. We loved it. Best to pay for parking, unless you have a small car. Marion and Richard

Charming flat, there were a few issues with broken bedroom blind, stained carpet and rug and light bulbs not working but that didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment.
