Lilás Cottage Tintagel

L'atmosfera del vero cottage di campagna, ma qualcosa può essere migliorato Positive: tipico cottage di campagna con le camere al piano superiore. Caminetto (stufa a legna) che nei due giorni un po' umidi abbiamo potuto accendere. Parcheggio appena dopo la casa. 15 minuti a piedi per il centro (attenzione alle stradine di campagna molto strette per le auto) Negative: Se si è alti come noi attenzione a camminare sempre a testa bassa all'ingresso, in cucina e sala/salotto. Il bidone dell'immmondizia era pieno (con altri sacchi di fianco) nel giardinetto all'ingresso. Il letto doppio non era molto comodo. Bagno cieco.

Return visit (a second review) Positive: This was our second visit to Lilac cottage, there were some things that put us off in the spring/summer, but we liked the cottage itself and decided to give it another go, a little more prepared! The problems we encountered last time with the bird wake up call wasn’t an issue this chilly time of year and that made a huge difference. I’m also guessing that no baby birds in the attic also lead to the lack of fishy smell too. A much better experience! We took our own pillows and mattress toppers, which made the beds much more comfortable, and also took with us some temporary black out blinds and low tack tape for the bedroom windows (Respecting the property, leaving no marks). We made good use of the kitchen facilities this time, everything we needed was there, with instructions for the oven laminated on the wall. The fire was easy to use, and instructions were in the welcome folder. We were even able to vacuum seal our bedding to pack for the journey home, thanks to Henry in the cupboard. Being much more prepared for this trip and taking with us some basic creature comforts, made this stay a huge improvement on the last one and I would definitely book again! Negative: What didn’t we like this time? Nothing! So glad we gave it another chance.

Perfect place to stay, peaceful and comfy Positive: Peaceful location in quiet area but close enough to walk to Tintagel everything you need for a lovely stay Negative: Nothing. All was perfect ahh no I remember one thing. There was a massive spider that invaded luckily hubby got him out (I am petrified) 😱🤣

Positive: The location was great and the log burner was easy to use. Negative: The beds were very uncomfortable and some investment is needed in the mattress and pillows.

Positive: Great location, clean and tidy cottage. Well appointed facilities. Negative: Would have given it 10/10 but for 2 things: 1) the seating outside was damaged so there was no where to sit out and 2) the TV was on the small side. Otherwise excellent!
